RMIT students to host 2018 Odyssey Literary Festival on genre
Students from RMIT University’s Professional Writing and Editing program will host the Odyssey Literary Festival in Melbourne on 13 September.
This year’s festival, which is held at RMIT’s Kaleide Theatre, will focus on genre writing. Featured events include a panel of Australian women crime writers, a session on how genre influences book design, a debate between authors that pits literary writing against genre writing, and a writing prize for the most poorly written sex scene.
Among the guests participating in this year’s festival are authors Sofie Laguna, Mark Brandi, Matt Larkin, Gabrielle Williams, Anna Snoekstra, Megan Goldin, Moraig Kisler and Angela Meyer.
