Hachette offers booksellers direct download of digital assets

Hachette Australia has launched a new digital asset sharing system via its website.

The new system allows booksellers to login and download digital marketing assets that can be used across bookshops’ social media channels and websites. Assets include author and promotional videos, social media visuals and website headers.

Head of marketing communications Ella Chapman says: ‘As social media followings grow and online discoverability becomes increasingly important for consumer awareness, we want to make sure that we’re creating shareable digital content that’s available for everyone to use as widely as possible. We’ve created a pick and mix system for booksellers whereby they can login and download a variety of assets for different books. It will be a great time saver and something that we hope will be used a lot by booksellers.’

Hachette sales director Daniel Pilkington says the change was spurred by conversations with booksellers. ‘Booksellers around the country have been asking for an easy way to access our digital assets for their websites and newsletters … The customer reaction on the few that have tested it has been overwhelmingly positive with many of them using our assets in a regular basis.’

Any enquiries about the new system can be directed to the marketing team.
