Clunes Booktown Festival 2019 program announced

The program for the 2019 Clunes Booktown Festival, to be held from 4-5 May in Clunes, Victoria, has been announced.

Around 25 writers will appear at the festival, including Robbie Arnott, Sarah Bailey, Tony Birch, Danielle Binks, Kirsten Bradley, Nick Ritar, Anne Buist, Jane Caro, Nathan Curnow, Sarah Epstein, Moreno Giovannoni, Andrea Goldsmith, Nicole Hayes, Jack Henseleit, Kon Karapanagiotidis, Stuart Kells, Michael McGirr, George Megalogenis, J P Pomare, Alice Pung, Georgina Reid, Jock Serong, Alicia Sometimes and Gabrielle Wang.

Topics covered at this year’s festival include the current political climate, slowing down at home, and modern-day feminism. The festival will also include sessions on crime writing, writing for the millennial mind, new writers, and reading as escapism versus reading to face reality.

Dozens of booksellers, bookmakers and other exhibitors will occupy the main street of Clunes and surrounding retail spaces during the festival. For more information, see the website.
