Australian Library Design Awards 2019 winners announced

The winners of the 2019 Australian Library and Information Association’s (ALIA) Library Design Awards for new and refurbished libraries have been announced.
The winning libraries are:
Public libraries
- Shellharbour City Libraries, Shellharbour, NSW
School libraries
- Centenary Library, Anglican Church Grammar School (also known as Churchie), Brisbane
Academic libraries
- Caulfield Library, Monash University, Melbourne
Members’ choice
- Bunjil Place Library, Casey Cardinia Libraries, Melbourne.
The winners were chosen by a panel of experts from libraries and design industries from a shortlist announced earlier this month. To read some of the judges’ comments, click here.
The awards were presented at the 2019 Library Design Awards Conference at the State Library of Queensland on 14 March.
