Mary Gilmore Award 2019 shortlist announced

The shortlist for the 2019 Mary Gilmore Award, presented by the Association for the Study of Australian Literature (ASAL) for the best first book of poetry published in the past two calendar years, has been announced.
The shortlisted titles are:
- About The Author Is Dead (Pascalle Burton, Cordite)
- Calenture (Lindsay Tuggle, Cordite)
- Crave (Holly Friedlander Liddicoat, Rabbit Books)
- Flood Damages (Eunice Andrada, Giramondo)
- That Sight (Marjon Mossammaparast, Cordite)
- The Hijab Files (Maryam Azam, Giramondo).
