Librarians recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours

Two librarians have been awarded a Medal (OAM) in the General Division in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Geelong Regional Library Corporation CEO Patti Manolis received an OAM for service to the library and information sciences sector. Manolis was the president of Public Libraries Victoria from 2016–2017, among other industry board roles.

Former CSIRO Perth Librarian-in-Charge Bernadette Waugh received an OAM for service to librarianship. Waugh has been a member of ALIA since 1977 and was Librarian-in-Charge at CSIRO from 1985–2007.
