Educational Publishing Awards 2019 winners announced

The Australian Publishers Association (APA) has announced the winners of the 2019 Educational Publishing Awards Australia (EPAA).

For the second year in a row, Promoting Literacy Development was named Primary publisher of the year, while Oxford University Press ANZ (OUP) was named Secondary publisher of the year for the third consecutive year. The inaugural Mike Horsley Award for dedication to Australian educational publishing was awarded to Firefly Education director Peter Stannard, who has contributed to the sector for 50 years. The award is dedicated to one of the co-founders of the EPAAs, which were established in 1994.

Also new to this year’s awards was a new category for scholarly nonfiction book of the year, which was won by Charles Massy’s book Call of the Reed Warbler (UQP).
