Windy Hollow makes first North American sale with ‘Ivy Bird’

Independent children’s publisher Windy Hollow has sold North American rights to Ivy Bird (Tania McCartney, illus by Jess Racklyeft) to Blue Dot Books.

The deal, negotiated by Natasha Solomun at the Rights Hive, is the first North American sale for Windy Hollow, who met with Blue Dot at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair this year.

Published by Windy Hollow this month, Ivy Bird introduces young kids to ‘an aviary of beautiful birds’, and is a ‘celebration of nature, friendship, and the love and comfort found in feathering the nest’.

Blue Dot will publish Ivy Bird in the US in Spring 2020.
