Boundless festival wins Sydney Music, Art & Culture award

The 2019 Boundless festival of Indigenous and culturally diverse writers has been awarded best arts program in FBi Radio’s 2019 Sydney Music, Art & Culture (SMAC) Awards.

Boundless festival is a free all-day event presented biennially by Writing NSW and Bankstown Arts Centre in association with Sweatshop. The second-ever festival ran in October 2019 and featured writers including Benjamin Law, Alice Pung, Michael Mohammed Ahmad and Jack Latimore.

FBi said the event ‘created an environment to unpack the pressing issues of our time and celebrate the exceptional talent of Indigenous and culturally diverse writers’. Boundless was awarded alongside winners in categories including best artist, best on stage and best music event.
