Environment Award for Children’s Literature 2020 winners announced

The Wilderness Society has announced the winners of the 2020 Environment Award for Children’s Literature.
The winning books in each category, chosen from shortlists announced in May, are:
Picture fiction:
- One Careless Night (Christina Booth, Walker Books)
Nonfiction:
- Explore Your World: Weird, Wild, Amazing! (Tim Flannery, illus by Sam Caldwell, Hardie Grant Egmont)
Fiction:
- Super Sidekicks 2: Ocean’s Revenge (Gavin Aung Than, Puffin).
Now in its 26th year, the Environment Award for Children’s Literature is presented annually to fiction and nonfiction books that ‘promote a love of nature in kids’. The winners were announced in an online ceremony during the Wilderness Society’s inaugural Nature Book Week.
