Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing establishes new illustration prize
Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing (HGCP) has established a new illustration prize.
The Little Hare Prize for Illustration has been established to ‘inspire new work from unpublished and emerging artists’ and will be awarded annually, with the winner receiving a publishing contract ‘and full editorial support to illustrate a new story’ for the Little Hare imprint.
Entrants, who should not have previously illustrated more than one picture book with a trade publisher, are asked to provide artworks based on the story, which the publisher will make available online when the prize opens.
Entries open on Thursday, 1 October and close on Friday, 30 October.
For more information see the HGCP website.
