LBF moved to June 2021; new director named

In the UK, the London Book Fair (LBF) has announced next year’s event will take place from 29 June to 1 July, according to the Bookseller.

The fair was originally scheduled for March, but has been moved to ‘provide the best possible opportunity of creating a live event where the publishing industry can reconnect and do business’. The new dates are in line with the UK’s projected timelines for large-scale events restarting.

LBF has also named Andy Ventris as the fair’s new director, replacing Jacks Thomas, who left the role earlier this year. Ventris has worked for the fair’s organiser, Reed Exhibitions, since 2013.
