‘Into Books’ campaign spreads to Paris, New York

The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has expanded its new ‘Into Books’ campaign to Paris, New York and Riyadh, reports Publishing Perspectives.

The campaign, which has the slogan ‘If you’re into something, you’re into books’, is based on the fact that ‘every person on the planet is a potential reader’ according to SBA chair Ahmed Al Ameri.

The campaign features city-centre signage and social media outreach under the #IntoBooks hashtag. In New York, the signage reads: ‘So you’re into sports? There’s a book for that!’

‘The campaign’s slogan, “If you’re into something, you’re into books,” appeals to the reader in each one of us,’ Al Ameri said. ‘No matter what our interests, passions, or curiosities in life are. Whether that’s dance, cinema, food, sports, fashion, or anything else, there’s a book on it.’
