MidnightSun announces book cover design competition

MidnightSun Publishing has announced a new book cover design competition for two of its forthcoming novels, Random Acts of Unkindness by Anna Mandoki and The Rider on the Bridge by Scott Pearce, both to be released mid-2022.

Random Acts of Unkindness ‘explores the importance of compassion and human connection in an increasingly fragmented world’, while The Rider on the Bridge ‘tells a 20-year-old tale about friendship and aching adolescence’.

MidnightSun says the cover design competition is ‘an exciting opportunity for young designers or those who want to add to their portfolio’. Designers will submit cover design concepts based on descriptions of each novel, taking into account the story’s theme, characters, plot and tone. The publisher says it is looking for bold and creative designs: ‘The more creative, the better.’

The winning designers will each receive a cash prize of $500 and have their work printed on the published novels.

For more information about the competition, see the MidnightSun website.
