Speech Pathology 2021 Book of the Year winners announced

The winners of the 2021 Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year awards have been announced.
The winning titles are:
Birth to three years
- Look, Baby! (Janeen Brian, illus by Renée Treml, Little Book Press)
Three to five years
- Boo Loves Books (Kaye Baillie, illus by Tracie Grimwood, New Frontier)
Five to eight years
- The Thing That Goes Ping! (Mark Carthew, illus by Shane McG, Ford Street)
Eight to 10 years
- Bindi (Kirli Saunders, illus by Dub Leffler, Magabala)
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Authored Children’s Book Award
- Is this your egg? (Ella Kris, illus by Emma Cracknell, State Library of Queensland).
The Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards aim to ‘promote quality Australian books that help children get the best, most literate start in life’ and are judged on their ‘appeal to children, interactive quality and ability to assist speech pathologists and parents in communication and literacy development’.
