Five ANZ publishers shortlisted for Bologna Prize

Australian publishers Affirm Press, EK Books and Magabala Books, and Aotearoa New Zealand presses Huia Publishers and Beatnik Publishing have been shortlisted for the 2022 Bologna Prize for Best Children’s Publisher of the Year in the Oceania category.

The Bologna Prize, voted for by publishers and publishing associations, highlights ‘publishers at the forefront of innovation in their activity for the creative nature of the editorial choices they have made during the previous year’.

Aotearoa New Zealand publisher Oratia Media was the 2021 winner in the Oceania category.

The announcement of the 2022 winners will be held during the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF), which runs 21–24 March.
