Complete our 2022 employment survey

Books+Publishing is conducting research on wages and working conditions in the Australian book industry for a series of feature articles.

We last conducted this survey in 2018 and received an enormous response. This year we have added questions about the impact of the Covid pandemic, and have created a separate survey for freelancers.

If you are currently employed by a company in the book industry (e.g. publisher, bookshop, rights agency), please complete our employees’ survey here.

If you currently work freelance in the industry, in any capacity, please complete our freelancers’ survey here.

Each survey takes 10 to 15 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous. No individual or company names will be mentioned in the articles.

The surveys will close at midnight, Friday, 15 July.
