Goldsmiths Prize 2022 shortlist announced

In the UK, the shortlist for the 2022 Goldsmiths Prize, worth £10,000 (A$17,500), has been announced.
The shortlisted novels are:
- Somebody Loves You (Mona Arshi, And Other Stories)
- Seven Steeples (Sara Baume, Tramp Press)
- Maps of Our Spectacular Bodies (Maddie Mortimer, Picador)
- Peaces (Helen Oyeyemi, Faber)
- there are more things (Yara Rodrigues Fowler, Fleet)
- Diego Garcia (Natasha Soobramanien & Luke Williams, Fitzcarraldo).
Established in 2013 by Goldsmiths University of London, the prize rewards fiction that ‘breaks the mould or extends the possibilities of the novel form’ and ’embodies the spirit of invention that characterises the genre at its best’.
Isabel Waidner won last year’s Goldsmiths Prize for Sterling Karat Gold (Peninsula Press).
