Big Issue fiction edition returns
The Big Issue has announced the authors chosen for its 19th annual fiction edition.
The 2023 edition includes short stories from 12 writers including eight emerging talents, selected from more than 681 submissions by former Big Issue books editor and broadcaster Melissa Fulton and writer and critic Claire Cao.
The writers are Chris Ames, Robert J Boland, Paige Clark, Hannah Cockroft, Trent Dalton, A R Eldridge, Scott Limbrick, Zoya Patel, Josephine Sarvaas, Michelle See-Tho, Amy St Lawrence and Nina Wan. The edition is illustrated by Melbourne artist Lynn Bremner.
Funding from the Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund allowed the Big Issue to include an additional 16 pages in the fiction edition.
As well as buying from vendors, readers can purchase the magazine online through the Big Issue Shopify store or purchase a subscription to the magazine and support its Women’s Workforce enterprise.
The fiction edition is on sale now.
