How to Be Remembered to be adapted to film

Michael Thompson’s novel How to Be Remembered (A&U) will be adapted as a feature film by MRC Film in the US.

According to Deadline, the novel will be adapted for screen by J Mills Goodloe, who is currently in post-production on Days When the Rains Came, which he co-wrote and directed. Goodloe’s previous credits include To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, Mountains Between Us, Everything, Everything and Age of Adaline.

Elizabeth Cantillon, producer and president of MRC’s Bisous Pictures, will produce the project.

How to Be Remembered follows the story of Tommy Llewellyn, a boy destined to never be remembered. On the same day every year, everyone around him forgets he exists, and he grows up enduring his own universal reset—until Tommy falls in love, and he must find a way to rebuild and maintain his great love through whatever means necessary.
