The Opportunity

We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced senior leader to the position of Director, Monash University Publishing (maternity leave replacement role). Reporting directly to the University Librarian, this is a brilliant opportunity to manage and oversee a range of award winning publishing efforts reflecting the academic strengths and priorities of the University.

As a senior leader within the Monash University Library, the Director will be responsible for providing advice on critical matters of commercial, financial and governance operation. In addition, the position will be required to lead and manage a professional team to achieve the deliverable goals of MUP within its budgetary requirements.

Key to success in this role will be proven exceptional senior leadership skills with demonstrated accomplishment in managing strategies and initiatives at the highest levels. Complementing the successful candidate’s project planning and management skills will be an ability to deliver continuous improvement and build relationships with a large range of internal and external stakeholders.
