Constant Reader Bookshop has been in operation for 44 years making it one of the oldest and most respected independent bookstores in Australia. We are currently looking for an experienced Events Co-Ordinator/Bookseller with a passion for books and reading to join our team. This is an exciting new position in Constant Reader. We run over 70 events a year across multiple sites on the lower north shore and need a professional to assist to manage and grow these events. Part of this will be assisting in the running of Sydney’s oldest continually running author event program, Writers at Stanton. Started in 1990 as a partnership between Constant Reader Bookshop and Stanton Library, the program continues to attract authors both domestically and internationally.

The successful candidate will have significant retail sales experience with a focus on superior customer service. Being widely read yourself, you will be able to engage with our customers to recommend books that suit their personal requirements. A high attention to detail and the ability to take initiative when required is essential. The position will require weekend work. Candidates with previous bookshop and event management experience will be highly regarded. A car and current valid drivers license is essential.
