Create NSW funding recipients, 2024 REP editors, Peter Porter Prize shortlist

In local news, the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award shortlists were announced late last year, several literary organisations and projects are among the successful applicants for the first round of Create NSW’s Arts and Cultural Funding Program for 2023/24, the APA has announced the 15 editors selected for the 2024 Residential Editorial Program, and the Australian Book Review has announced the 2024 Peter Poetry Prize shortlist.
Overseas, Publishers Weekly reported that US print sales were down 2.6% in 2023, while the Bookseller reported a 1.3% increase in the UK book market value, despite volume sales being down 5%.
