Australian publishers Affirm Press, Fremantle Press and Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing and Aotearoa New Zealand publishers Scholastic New Zealand and Huia Publishers have been shortlisted for this year’s Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publisher of the Year in the Oceania category.

The awards are presented to publishers in six geographic regions that are ‘at the forefront of innovation in their activity for the creative nature of the editorial choices they have made during the previous year’.

Affirm has been shortlisted for the third year in a row. The winner of the 2023 prize in the Oceania category was Magabala Books.

The winners will be announced at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF) to be held 8–11 April.
