George Robertson Award 2024 winners announced, changes to APA board

The Australian Publishers Association (APA) has announced the winners of the 2024 George Robertson Awards, which recognises long and distinguished service to the publishing industry.

- Cliff Derksen (lead artist, RIC Publications)
- Margaret Langvizer (account manager Queensland/Northern NSW, Allen & Unwin)
- Jodie Martin (publishing executive, Hardie Grant Publishing)
- Liz Murphy (senior field account manager, Simon & Schuster)
- Jeff Ortmann (operations manager, Allen & Unwin)
- Lou Playfair (production director, Allen & Unwin)
- Dan Ruffino (managing director, Simon & Schuster)
- Elizabeth Weiss (publisher and digital publishing director, Allen & Unwin)
- Margaret Whiskin (senior editor, Magabala Books)
- Mandy Wildsmith (sales representative–Victoria, Hardie Grant Publishing).

The recipients were announced at the APA AGM, where new committees were announced for the scholarly and journal, schools educational, and tertiary and professional publishers committees, and Andrew Stammer and Mark O’Neil retired from the APA board.
