Vale Max Oliver

Max Oliver, the founder of Lindfield Bookshop, which operated for 46 years until 2019, died on 4 April at the age of 81.

From the Sydney Morning Herald:

Much loved lifelong partner of Mark. Cherished son of Joyce and Stuart (both deceased). Brother of Geoffrey.

Max was schooled at Melbourne University and dedicated his life to being an aficionado in the world of books. Max’s bookshop was in Lindfield, NSW. Max will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Friends of Max are kindly invited to attend a Celebration of Life to be held in the Magnolia Chapel, Macquarie Park Cemetery & Crematorium, cnr. Delhi & Plassey Roads, North Ryde, on Wednesday 17th April 2024 at 11.00am.
