Ondaatje Prize 2024 shortlist announced

In the UK, the Royal Society of Literature has announced the shortlist for this year’s £10,000 (A$19,133) Ondaatje Prize, reports Publishing Perspectives.
The shortlisted titles are:
- Falling Animals (Sheila Armstrong, Bloomsbury)
- Enter Ghost (Isabella Hammad, Vintage)
- A Flat Place (Noreen Masud, Penguin)
- Cuddy (Benjamin Myers, Bloomsbury)
- No Man’s Land (David Nash, Dedalus Press)
- Fassbinder Thousands of Mirrors (Ian Penman, Fitzcarraldo Editions).
This year’s winner will be announced in May.
The winner of last year’s award was Anthony Anaxagorou for his collection Heritage Aesthetics (Granta).
