‘Murdle’ wins book of the year at the 2024 British Book Awards

Murdle, a collection of murder mystery puzzles by G T Karber (Souvenir Press), has won book of the year at the 2024 British Book Awards, as well as taking out the nonfiction lifestyle and illustrated book of the year category.

Other book award winners included:

In the trade section of the awards, Ebury won publisher of the year; Profile won independent publisher of the year; Magic Cat won small press of the year; Bloomsbury won children’s publisher of the year; Collins won academic, educational and professional publisher of the year; and Piatkus won imprint of the year. In the bookselling awards, Book-ish won independent bookshop of the year, while The Children’s Bookshop won both book retailer of the year and children’s bookseller of the year.
