RWA announces 2024 Ruby winners
Romance Writers of Australia (RWA) has announced the winners of the 2024 Romantic Book of the Year Awards, known as the Ruby Awards.
The winners in each category are:
Romantic elements
- Awaiting Annie Jones (Bernadette Eden, self-published)
Romantic suspense
- The Protector’s Mistake (Leah Ashton, self-published)
Historical romance
- Curled Up with an Earl (Amy Rose Bennett, Sourcebooks Casablanca)
Contemporary short
- Cinderella Assistant to Boss’s Bride (Ally Blake, Mills & Boon True Love)
Contemporary long
- The Man from Shadow Creek (Rachel Armstrong, Pink Paws Publishing)
Novella
- The Bride Said No (Catherine Bilson, self-published)
Speculative fiction
- The Falling (Angelica Grymm, self-published).
The Ruby Awards are for novels and novellas published by Australian or Aotearoa New Zealand authors in the previous year. Other awards presented alongside the Ruby Awards were:
