A&U acquires Murray’s ‘Lights, Camera, Love’

Allen & Unwin (A&U) has acquired world rights to Lights, Camera, Love by Natalie Murray in a two-book deal by Annette Barlow, via Sarah McKenzie of Sarah McKenzie Literary Management.

In the novel, hip-hop dance teacher Evie Scott ‘can’t believe her luck when she’s cast in a blockbuster dance movie opposite Hollywood heartthrob Austin Reynolds’. ‘The job not only promises financial stability, which she craves, but offers Evie a chance at finding true love—both on and off screen,’ said the publisher. ‘So why is it that she can’t seem to take her eyes off Austin’s grumpy and jaded manager, Kye Evans?’

Murray’s first rom-com novel, Love, Just In, was published by A&U in January; she is also author of the Emmie and the Tudor King trilogy and, as co-author with Jenny Fyfe, of Hating the Best Man and Loving the Worst Man.

A&U plans to publish Lights, Camera, Love in August 2025.
