Penguin Random House is looking for a publisher to join their children’s publishing team in Sydney starting February 2025.

Responsibilities:

• Commission titles, build and maintain author/agent relationships
• Collaborate with editors, freelancers, and internal teams (marketing, sales, finance, rights, production)
• Manage acquisitions budgets and ensure timely, high-quality book production
• Write materials for ATIs, catalogues, back covers, and sales info
• Attend book fairs, festivals, and conferences

Qualifications:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• Knowledge of book-publishing processes
• Strong market awareness
• Preferably experience as a publisher
