Allen & Unwin is delighted to announce that they will be publishing AFL star Alex Rance’s first picture book Tiger’s Roar in June 2018. The book is inspired by Alex’s experiences as a key player in Richmond’s drought-breaking 2017 AFL Premiership win.
Publisher Jodie Webster says, ‘Not only is Alex a champion football player, he is also a champion storyteller who cares passionately about teaching children to believe in themselves. Kids will love this story of a tiger whose friends help him find his way back to the top of the tree.’
Tiger’s Roar will be illustrated by Shane McG.

Allen & Unwin is delighted to announce that it will publish a new series by New York Times bestselling author Scott Westerfeld in September 2018.
‘The Impostors’ quartet is set in the same world as Scott’s internationally bestselling ‘Uglies’ novels and is about how we fight to create our own identities, to invent selves that really belongs to us, and continues the high-stakes action and vivid dystopian world that fans loved so much in the ‘Uglies’ series.
Publisher Jodie Webster says, ‘I loved being back in the Uglies world. Impostors maintains the spirit of rebelliousness—and the courage to fight against oppression—that underpins the Uglies series. I adore the new characters, the new tech, the new cities, the new rivalries, the new kinds of surveillance and the ever-present intrigue and threat of treachery. Everything about it is super compelling.’
The first book, Impostors, will be published on 12 September, simultaneously with the US and UK.
